During the Qingming Festival of 2017 (4.4.17), my colleagues and I embarked on a 12-hour, 25.7-kilometer hike through Kubuqi, China's seventh-largest desert.

The trip was both exhausting and memorable. On our way back to Beijing, someone asked where our journey had begun and ended. Unfortunately, no one could give an accurate answer.

This moment filled my heart with a sense of melancholy. It made me realize that perhaps my life would be forgotten too, no matter how much I experienced or endured. Just like our trip, it would soon fade away.

This realization inspired me to create an app that could record one's life journey.

Unlike ordinary trajectory recording apps, Footprint excels at handling massive amounts of data, with a scale of millions. It requires no user operation for trajectory recording and consumes extremely low power in the background. With Footprint, you can effectively record and share your travel data.
